The MSMQ Reader is a client tool used to test MSMQ message queues. This tool displays and simultaneously removes messages from designated MSMQ message queue. Once the messages are read by the reader, they are permanently removed from the queue.

Using the MSMQ Reader

Open MSMQ Reader from the Start Menu. Enter the queue name for the queue you want to retrieve messages and press the TAB key. If the message queue contains any messages, they are displayed as shown in Figure 1.

If there are no messages, the reader waits until messages arrive and then retrieves them. You can close the application by clicking 'Close'. Clear the displayed messages from window by clicking 'Clear Messages'.
