Notes:
VLIST shows string variables and numeric variables as separate categories.

String variables are ASCII, can be up to 4000 characters in length, and are created with the SET, PROMPT, CHOOSE, LISTPICK, MENU, CALENDAR, FETCH, MOVE, and TIMING commands.

Numeric variables are double precision floating point and are created with the CALC command.

VLIST prints out the variable pool in the DCL window. An alternate way to view the variable pool is via the "view" control in the tool bar.

When you use the "view" button the display is in a separate window. In this display all the string variables are delimited with a little x. For more information, see "Viewing Variables ."

The value of numeric variables is shown to four decimal places by VLIST. Of course, in use the full precision is used, this is just a question of display, and
VLIST arbitrarily shows values to four places. See "Viewing Variables " for more information.
